Weekly Letter - September 25th, 2017

Weekly Letter
September 25th, 2017

Oi!

Hey everyone!

Sorry if this email is short...But we're doing good! This week was another good one! We worked hard and got super wet...here in El Salvador there are only 2 seasons: Hot and rain jaja. And each one lasts about 6 months. We're in the rainy season until about November...but that's all good.

This week we did service for one of our families of investigators, Hermana Carolina and we basically built her a new house...for not knowing anything about construction, we did a good job.

We made pupusas with some members and taught some good lessons. Hermano Samuel
yesterday got the priesthood and was made a priest. He's advancing super well and he's super awesome and excited. We're still looking for new people to teach..it's hard because here, everyone has a religion, but I've managed to do it for 20 months, so I can do it for 3 more jaja.

We're happy and getting along well. Also super excited for general conference!

I love you all and hope you all have a great week!

Saluuu Pues

Con cariño, Elder Loveless

Response to how members help out the missionaries:
When the members work, missionary work is A LOT easier. Presidente Hinckley said the a lot of people think that missionary work is just knocking doors and handing out pamphlets. But there's a way that's a lot easier. Use the members! They need to share the gospel with all of their friends and then invite them to their house and invite the missionaries. When this happens, a lot more people get baptized and stay active in the church!

Saluu!

Hi Elder! I just wanted to send you a quick note to say hi. I really enjoy your letters each week. You are doing such a great job. Your mom is really ready for you to come home though! I love working with her and feel so blessed to be friends with your family. Your mom introduced Randy and me. We are celebrating our 25th anniversary next Sunday!! Be safe and enjoy this tail end of your mission. With love, Jill Clark

Letter back to the Clark Family:

Happy 18 de Septiembre

Hey everyone! Saludos de El Salvador!

This week was a good one. We worked hard and it rained harder jaja. I'm tired of the rain. I like that it's not hot, but it's almost worse being wet. But the rainy season is almost over.

This week we worked a lot with people that we already have found and we left a couple of others. We found a family super poderosa. It's a single mom with her 2 daughters. Her name is Carolina and her Daughters son Xiomara (16) y Katherine (12). They have friends that are members and yesterday, Carolina y Xiomara went to church yesterday. Katherine is gonna go next week.

We did service with the bishop and moved/cut a huge tree trunk...it was crazy...I'm still super sore.

We had a ward activity and I ate garrobo!!! Look up pics on google. It's basically a giant lizard. It was really good, It just has more bones than meat...:(

We're doing good and working hard.

I hope everyone is doing so good with everything that you're doing. Also felicidades to Zac and Emily and Lily for blessing her and feliz cumpleaños mañana to Sydney!

Saluuu Pues!!

Teach repentance, baptize converts!

Hey everyone!!

This week was a good one. It was kinda hard, but it was good. We also worked hard so that's what counts.

We found 2 new families to teach. One is a partial family. The dad (Eduardo) is a member inactive. He hasn't been to church in a long time. His daughter (10) Gabi is not a member neither is his son (18) Eduardo. They're very nice and they accepted baptismal dates for the 21st of October. The other family is the familia Rodriguez Gonzalez. They are our neighbors. They moved here about a month ago. It's a young pair with a baby girl who is almost 2. They're very nice and I feel good vibes about them.

Yesterday we also had a huge FHE and 33 people went. It was awesome.

The best part of the week was the baptism of Hermano Samuel. He was baptized on Tuesday the 5th and confirmed yesterday the 10th of September. He's so happy. He's gonna have his interview on Wednesday to get the Priesthood then next week, his temple recommend. He's a great guy.

It was a good week. We're always looking for new people to teach and even more now that my time is coming to an end...But we're happy and working hard. Also yes, we felt the earthquake very strongly, but everything is okay.

Anyways, I love you all and hope you guys have a great week.

Hasta luego

-Elder Loveless

Hi!
Hey sorry momma! I'm just sending this to you because I don't have a lot of time. I'll send pics next week. I just wanted to say that all is well. This Wednesday are changes and I'm staying here for another change with Elder Fallas en Colonial 1. Also this last Wednesday we had a multi zona and Elder Ochoa (The area Presidente) and his wife came and spoke to us. Also tomorrow we're gonna have a baptism of a guy named Samuel. I've talked a lot about him in the past, but he's doing great and he's ready to be baptized. Sorry that I don't have much time. P.S. this is my weekly letter (; I love you! Have a fantastic week!
