Changes Week!!!
Oiiii todos! Mando mis saludos de La Unión, El Salvador! How is everyone?? Everything here is great! This week, I can't lie, was great, just supeeer crazy. Monday was a normal day. Pday. We had a FHE with fam Villatoro (Pres Lenim) which was good. Tuesday my companion said goodbye to everyone because we had to be in San Miguel at 6. We also met with Jocelyn and taught her the Word of Wisdom oh wow, she's amazing. She's 23 and has a little girl named Scarlett and she's cute, just a little annoying haha. Gotta love kids. She is not married but is accompanied by her 'spouse'. She loves the church. We found her doing FHE's with her neighbors that live down by the prison really far from our area. She loves the BOM and reads is always and she goes to church and we taught her how to pray correctly and she feels the Spirit when she prays. She also knows the BOM is true which is awesome!! She told us she drinks 7 cups of coffee daily!! 7!!! When we taught her the WOW she was a little hesitant but she said all is possible with God and that she'd try. The next day she only drank 1 and then Saturday and yesterday she didn't drink any!!! She's the best investigator that I've ever had. The only difficulty will be marrying her with her husband.
We slept in San Miguel with the ZL's there, Elder Howell and Elder Dunkle and they are 2 of my favorite Elders ever. That was fun. I woke up at 4 to go to San Salvador to pick up my greenie and that was good. Elder Arirama got sent to Soyapango! I'm a little scared for him...that's the most dangerous city in El Salvador...but he'll be fine.
My new companion's name is Elder Butler, He's almost 19 and he's from Ogden, Utah. He's a really hard worker. He struggles a little with the language, but he's super dedicated to learn and get better. He's a really good guy. He played football and lacrosse and he's a funny guy. Another farm boy..that makes 3 outta my 4 companions farm boys haha. He's awesome and we plan on baptizing 3 in September and hopefully 1 or 2 more.
Thursday I got sick so we didn't leave the house. Friday and Saturday we worked our butts off making up for 3 days without working too hard in the area. Also about 20 gringos came this change so that's cool. Yesterday was good and Jocelyn and her niece and nephew Maria and Carlito went to church! She brought them to church the first week and they loved it and told us that they want to get baptized. They stopped drinking coffee as well! Such good people. The kids are 12 and 9. This week was fantastic and we have tons of work to do, but we're seeing a lot of success!
I hope everyone is good and enjoying the good weather there (; I love you all! Always read your scriptures and pray!
Saluuuuuu Pues!

Changes Week!
Hey everyone!!! Greeting from La Unión!
Bueno pues this week was a good one. We are having FHE's every Monday night with Presidente Lenim who served as branch president for 18 years...you could say that he knows how to work. They're awesome. We also met with Hna Jocelyn and she is doing great. She has strong desires to be baptized, the only thing is she needs to get married. She also has a niece and nephew that want to get baptized so that's super exciting!! We're hoping for some 3-4 baptisms in the month of September.
This week was a little tough too. Lots of walking and not a whole lot of teaching. And on top of that it's super hot and I'm starting to get a rash from the sun. We also went up to Conchagua which is a super cool city in our area but it's a little far so we had to take a bus and everyone there is Catholic. We met a guy, Luis, who is awesome and accepted a baptismal date so we'll see if he wants to progress. We also met with a different Luis who really has desires to follow Jesus, but like everyone here, they've all been baptized as babies and don't wanna do it again, so that's when we leave it to the BOM. I've seen the BOM work miracles in the mission. It changes hearts.
I got that same call Thursday morning from Elder Sabey that I got 3 months ago. I finished the training of Elder Arirama and I'M TRAINING AGAIN!! Friday we had to go to San Miguel to have the trainer's meeting and Wednesday I'll go to San Salvador to pick up my greenie. That also means that I'm staying in La Unión for my 5th change! Elder Arirama is leaving me. But every parent says that the little birdies have to leave the nest and so it is with my firstborn son in the wilderness of La Unión. He's gonna be a brother! 20 newbies are coming this change so that's cool! I'm excited to be able to train again!
Everything here is going great! Always hot, but great! (I'm also gonna complete 8 months in my 1st area and 2 general conferences and 3 interviews with presidente.) I hope all is well for all of you guys! God Speed! ¡Viva El Salvador! I love you all! Until next week!
Saluuuu Puesss!

Hello all and greetings from El Salvador! I don't have much time but I'll try to tell you everything that happened this week.
We had a fantastic lesson with Presidente Lenim and Adrian and Adrian decided to be baptized so that happened on Friday and Pres. Lenim baptized him. I got to confirm him yesterday which was super cool!
Funny stories...I got off the bus and my companion kept going so I had to chase the bus and wait for it to stop...Everyone in the bus was yelling 'the gringo the gringo!!'
I did a baptismal interview for an 8-year-old and I guess I scared him cause he wouldn't talk to me and he peed his pants...sad haha but he was baptized on Saturday.
Hermana Bartola locked my companion in the bathroom which was HILARIOUS!! It's soooo hot in that bathroom.
This week was great and super hot. Changes are next Wednesday (24).
I have a huge testimony of fasting because we fasted this Sunday and had 11 investigators in church and Adrian a result of a fast of faith. I love El Salvador and La Unión and I love all of you! Stay strong and cool! I love you all!!!
Saluuuu Pues!
Love, Elder Loveless

Rainy Season is Here!
Hey all! This week was great, but really rainy, hot and humid! We had a good week preparing people for baptism in the month of September. Adrian told us that he doesn't want to get baptized...so we are going to visit him every day this week. Not many people here like the church and supposedly his grandma is putting stuff in his mind and lying to him and stuff...I dunno really, but I have faith that he can be baptized this Saturday! He is really converted and likes the church and Young Men’s and everything.
Thursday we had an all-day trip to the temple in San Salvador and we took investigators, recent converts and families that can be sealed soon. That was great...except it rained the whole time...Saturday was stake conference priesthood session and yesterday general session which was in San Miguel and that was great. Adrian and his whole family went yesterday. We only have 2 weeks left of this change and I have feelings that I'm gonna go...I've learned a lot training and as a District Leader. If I stay, I'll keep working really hard here in La Uniòn or wherever I go, I'll work hard.
It's been really hot and wet here, but we're enjoying it and working hard! Also a dog almost bit me yesterday but my companion saved me so that was awesome. I also ate higado de vaca...which is cow liver and it's not good at all. They all told me after what it was...super gross. But we're doing awesome here and working super hard. Thanks for the prayers! I love you all and I'll talk to you next week!

Viviendo la vida loca!
Hey everyone! Greetings from a very very very hot La Unión!
This week was good! Elder Arirama and I are learning a lot together. This week I was a little bit down, but I'm fine now because I've learned that there are many things that we don't have control over. It's been soooo hot here and it's been raining like crazy. When it rains, it pours like none other. It's kinda scary. Adrian is doing very good as well. He passed his baptismal interview, we got permission for him to get baptized and he went to church yesterday! We changed his baptism to the 13 of August which is the next Saturday, but I'm really excited because he is awesome and he is so converted. I love watching how the gospel changes lives.
We are working tons with the members and I can honestly say finally that I love my area. I love the members, the bishop, and the missionaries with whom I'm serving. The mission changes people, especially the missionaries. The month of July, Elder Arirama and I didn't baptize, but we re-activated 2 less actives so that's good! One is named Hna Sandra and she is awesome. She was baptized in September of last year and inactivated herself because she had a bunch of operations and was sick. Now, she's happier than I have ever seen her. She is doing so good. Fam Carcamo is still waiting the long process of the divorce...Other than that, we're working our butts of so that we can baptize 2 people this month and prepare the area for the next change and for September.
We will be going to the temple of San Salvador this Thursday with investigators, less actives and families that can be sealed soon, to have an activity ( the same that we had in March). Presidente and Hermana Vásquez came to our ward yesterday and Presidente spoke. I love them so much. They have such strong testimonies. Yesterday, my companion told me how hard it would be to train and all this stuff and I just laughed...because it's true. But I've grown so much, training my companion. Life is good here in La Unión. It's always hot, but we survive. I'm learning a lot. Also I've been studying temples a lot. Jesus always taught around or on the ground of the temple in Jerusalem. Temples have always existed and are literally the house of the Lord. When Jesus Christ showed himself to the Nephites, where did he appear???? The temple!! (3 Nephi 11:1) The temple is amazing. I can't wait until I can go again. Anyways, all is well here. I hope you enjoy the pics. We had fun taking them haha. I love you all and I'll talk to you next week!
