Transfers Week!!!

Hey everyone!! So today I'm writing you all from a new location-the mission offices. How cool hehe. Anyways, this week was INSANE! Elder Dunkle and I did a lot of interchanges with the Elderes from our Zona and that went well. I was able to do 2 baptismal interviews for our district leader Elder Rojas and they are siblings: A teenage boy 17 and a girl 11. They've been investigating with their family for about 1 year and their mom has never given her permission so that they could be baptized so I prayed a lot. They both passed and their mom gave permission and I was soooooo happy!!!! They got baptized on Saturday.

We also had a Zone Conference and that was fun too. Thursday night I was doing interchanges with an Elder in the Zone and we were in the house and I was writing in my journal, when suddenly I got a phone call. I looked at who it was and I almost peed....Every time that I get phone calls around transfers time it's someone important telling me how much trust the Lord and Presidente have in me and they've given me a new calling. Welllllllllll that pattern has not ceased. It was the man himself, Presidente Vásquez. He and the Lord have called me to be the new ASISTENTE to the Presidente here in Centro. That was the scariest phone call I've ever received. Thursday night I packed and had emergency changes and Friday morning I came here to San Salvador. I'm in a trio with the asistents right now until Wednesday when the gringo, Elder Stout, stops being asistent. They're also training me to be asistent and I have to get my driver's license which I'm actually really scared about. People here drive INSANE! My companion is Elder Arango from Guatemala. He only has one more change as an asistent so we'll have a lot of fun together. We live in the capital San Salvador in Col. Las Americas. We drive a 2015 Nissan Navara which is a truck so that's cool. We also live in the same house as the Zone Leaders and one is from Ogden, Utah and the other was my ex ZL in La Unión, Elder Zúñiga. We have lots of fun.

We don't have a ton of time to work in the area because we're always so busy. Today we had to take an Elder to the airport and we woke up at 3:35. We wake up early. It's pretty crazy. I'm more tired than I've ever been in my life. Only about 8 more months of this (;  But I am really excited to work with Presidente Vásquez. I love that man with all of my heart.

Also today we played paintball and that was a lot of fun. All is well! Also don't be worried if I don't write on Mondays because it's rare that we have times to write. We'll do our best though to write. Wish me luck! I love you all and I hope you all have such a great week!

Chau!
-Elder Loveless
