Pura vida (Pure Life)
Hey everyone!! Everything is good here in good old San Salvador.
It's been hot. But not hot hot, just humid hot. It's been cloudy and the rainy season is starting so I'm pretty stoked. I like the rain, just not working in it.
This week was great. We worked a lot in the area. We also sent home 4 missionaries...but we also went to the temple!! It was so needed. In the celestial room, I opened the Bible to Jeremiah 42 and it was literally what I needed. Wow how I missed the temple. I learned so much in there.
Alexis is doing awesome. He went to church again and Elder McDaniel, our district leader, did his interview and he passed. He has the goal for the 6 of May, but the ZLs that are in our same ward are gonna baptize this Saturday so Alexis wants to go and see and if he feels good and if the Lord tells him to, he´ll be baptized on Sunday. If not, the 6 of May. I hope he does it this week because next week are changes and I think I'm gonna have changes.
Antonio was a reference from a member. He's good. He is learning a lot. He doesn't feel super confident praying so we're teaching him very basically and he's learning. He also went to church yesterday. He has the baptismal date for the 20 of May. He's a really good guy
Luis is doing good, but he just doesn't want to progress so we're gonna keep inviting him to church, but we're gonna focus more on his sister and mom since they're recent converts.
We had an awesome FHE on Saturday and a member family, the familia Palma, brought 23 people and 5 were investigators and the majority of the rest were less actives. That was cool too.
This week and the next we'll be super busy with changes and this week we have mission leadership council on Friday. Changes are always fun too...jaja
We did intercambios (exchanges) with Usulután and they went really well. I worked with Elder Christensen and we taught Alexis The Plan of Salvation. It was so good and I really felt the Spirit and I understand a lot more that doctrine. It was a great week and full of good experiences. Also this week I complete 15 months!! How crazy!
Anyways, I love you all and wish you all a happy feliz week.
Saluuuuu Pues!!!

April 17th, 2017 - Weekly Letter
Hey friends and family,
This week was a good one, but super exhausting. Monday-Wednesday we spent getting everything ready for the temple activity. On Thursday we woke up at 3:00 am to go to the temple and set everything up and get everything ready. The activity was a success and we had about 860 people that went. We finished cleaning at about 7:30 then we all went up to Los Planes de Renderos to eat pupusas! That was a lot of fun. On Friday, we took down the banners and then we went to eat at Olive Garden and man was I missing some of that good Italian food. On Friday and Saturday we worked like normal in the area and now we just have to help the zones these last 2 weeks of the changes and then do the changes. We have a teeny break so that's nice jaja.
Alexis is doing awesome. He's just waiting for his answer and he needs to know a little bit more to strengthen his testimony. Henry's mom wants to throw a party for his baptism and like 2 people can't go and there's a small activity that day so she wants to postpone his baptism for another month...ugh. Yessenia is doing well. She went to the temple and we're gonna go and see her today. Everything here is great and it's heating up again.
I hope all is well in your fun places and I wish you all a great week. I love you all!
Con mucho amor, Elder Loveless
PS Elder Villatoro took a bunch of pics so I'm gonna be sending some today!
Best and Worst of the Past Week:

Temblores como locos !!! (Tremors like crazy!!!)
Hey everyone! How are you all doing? Everything here is...well good and a little bit crazy haha.
Monday we were up until midnight planning the multi zonas. Tuesday and Wednesday we had them here in Ilopango. Thursday we woke up at 3:30 to go to San Miguel and that night we stayed there and worked with the zone leaders, Elder Arango and Elder Murillo. I got to work with Elder Arango again and that was a lot of fun. We got back on Friday and we took a nap and then worked all that day and Saturday we had the Zone Conference and worked as well. We did our fast and that went well too. Sunday we fasted and had 2 investigators in church; Alexis and Henry. We did interchanges with the ZL from San Salvador (Our zone) and had a crazy adventure. Presidente called me and told me he had an interview with an Hermano but that he wasn't able to go and wanted me to go and do the interview. We were in a trio and so I had a member take me alone to the church to meet up with the sisters and the guy I was gonna interview. It went well and then afterwards, I stayed with the sisters and an Hermano from the other ward until my companions could come and pick me up. We took home the sisters and ate a super good dinner with the best member family ever. We ate arroz con leche. Juela que rico. There was also a cool earthquake that I didn't feel because we were in the car.
Yesterday we were planning everything for the temple activity this Thursday and went and made a huge banner and bought 2000 cookies and 2000 juices and we stored them in the church at the temple and wow it was a crazy day. There were like 4 more earthquakes today that I felt. They were pretty strong. The angel Moroni on top of the temple was shaking like crazy. The cell phone signal went out and they wouldn't let us into the office so that's why we didn't write yesterday. But we're alive and good here.
Today we put up the banners in the chapel and got everything ready for Thursday. Normally about 2000 people go. It's stressful but also a lot of fun.
Alexis is doing good and told us that he was praying to find the true church and then we showed up and he was really surprised but knows it was an answer from God. Luis..well I haven't seen him forever but I think he's good haha. Henry will be baptized on the 22 of April. We're doing good and keeping ourselves busy.
Everything here is good! Wanting to take pictures, but I'll have to wait until I get a new camera. I hope you all are doing good and I love you all. Have a fantastic week and I'll talk to you next week.

Wooow Conferencia General es la bomba!!
Hey Everyone!! How is everyone!??! WE'RE GONNA GET A TEMPLE IN SARATOGA SPRINGS!!! We were watching conference in English with my fellow cheles and they announced the temple and juela, I was screaming out loud. I am so excited.
This week was good. Still babysitting. We worked a lot more in the area. We found a teenager of 17 years named Alexis. He's awesome. He was a referencia and is the next door neighbor of the bishop and young men's president. He accepted a baptismal date for the 6th of Mayo. He also went to conference on Saturday and loved it. Luis...well we're still working with him. He's been super busy with school these last couple of weeks.
We had Mission Leadership Council ( I think that's what it's called in English). That was so good. I felt like it was the best one I have given. Conference was great. I loved the talk by Elder Sabin and also in the Priesthood session, the talk by Elder Uchtdorf. I also loved the talk by President Monson about the Book of Mormon. Really, I loved all of the talks. I learned so much this conference. I went with 6 questions and got answered 5. I decided that it's not time yet to know about the last question. But I left bien motivado y listo para trabajar y convertir a todos.
It was a good week. I prayed for patience and the Lord gave it to me...always after He gives us experiences.
Everything is well and fine over here in Las Americas.
I love you all and wish you all a great week. We'll see ya'll later. OOOOHFF!
Con mucho amor, Elder Loveless
